CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Stroller Strides® is a functional, total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with kids in tow. Each 60-minute workout is comprised of strength training, cardio, and core restoration, all while entertaining little ones with songs, activities, and fun! Each Stroller Strides instructor is skilled to meet you where you are mentally and physically. You’ll leave class feeling connected, successful, and energized! This class is all about self-care in a supportive and encouraging environment.

How to Not Feed Disease
“Diabetes and heart disease have hit all-time highs in New Jersey. What if I told you, you could make simple dietary changes that would have positive effects on your overall health and wellness, would you make those changes?
With every bite you make a choice - feed disease or feed health. This one choice is made every day, and can dramatically alter your physical and mental health. In this short presentation I will explore the dangers of many common food products and give easy to follow tips to make positive changes.”
Presentation by Prof. Julie Seda M.S.
Julie Seda is a faculty member at Bergen Community College. She holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science and Sports Administrations and is a WITTS Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA certified group exercise instructor and certified SPIN Instructor. While in graduate school, Julie was awarded the prestigious Exceptional Women Award in 2011. She founded and serves as Event Director for the annual HERO 5K at Bergen Community College, which brings the community to the school to support its student veterans. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Caldwell University.

Jillian Travilla is a Health Educator in the Office of Health Promotion at the Bergen County Department of Health Services. She has a degree in Public Health from William Paterson University. She has earned her credentials as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) in 2016. From 2018-2019, she served as the Co-Coordinator for the Bergen-Hudson Chronic Disease Coalition. She serves as a Peer Leader for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Programs, Instructor for Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Matter of Balance Peer Leader.
Red Cross Blood Drive
There continues to be an urgent need nationwide for blood donations. All types are needed, especially types O positive and O negative, to help reverse the national blood crisis. If you haven’t donated blood in the last eight weeks, you are 17+ years old and in good health, please take this opportunity to donate blood. Each pint of blood we collect can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. The Importance of Oral Hygiene and Preventive Care
Did you know brushing with a toothbrush alone only cleans about 65% of your teeth? The other 35% is in between your teeth and can ONLY be reached with floss. This is one of many important oral hygiene topics Dr. Parmar will discuss as well as sealants, fluoride and other preventative care techniques.
Dr. Parmar is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a proud member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mrunal Parmar graduated from New York University (NYU) with a B.S. in Biology before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry. He was admitted to the highly sought-after Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and has worked as a Pediatric Dentist in Northern and Central New Jersey for several years. Dr. Parmar loves working with children and is committed to provide the best dental care for his patients and a positive, memorable and fun experience for each child.

The Healthy Heart Walk Challenge
Please join the community of Park Ridge, NJ on Saturday, May 14th, for a town-wide walk - “The Healthy Heart Walk Challenge.”
Look for decorated hearts in the windows of your neighbors’ homes and local businesses. Challenge yourself to walk and count as many as you can! The more distance you cover, the more hearts you’ll see, and the healthier your heart will be!

A kick-off ceremony by Mayor Keith Misciagna will commence at 10:00am in Veterans Park followed by live music by cover band "Half Step Down" until 12:00pm. Need a place to start your walk, end your walk, or do your walk? Come to Veterans Park between the hours of 10:00am-12:00pm.

Dr. J. Christopher Mendler is a board certified sports medicine physician with a passion for teaching patients and the community about fitness, health and wellness.
Dr. Mendler has a sports medicine practice in Oradell, serves as a school and team physician for many area schools, is the medical director for a hospital sponsored health, wellness and fitness facility, and is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise.

Dr. Corrigan is a graduate of the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford NJ. She completed her residency in Family Medicine as Chief Resident of the program at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center- Paterson NJ. In addition, she is a Fellow in Anti-Aging, Metabolic & Functional Medicine.
Dr. Corrigan has practiced Family Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine for over 20 years. She joined Valley Medical Group in 2016.

Join Life Time Bergen County on Sunday, May 8th for a family-friendly bodyweight workout. The fun kicks off at 9:30am with special guest Earl Granville sharing his inspirational journey following the loss of his leg and how he found purpose through fitness and community. We’ll then sweat indoors together led by coaches Staisean and Pete, before hitting the pavement for a run or walk as a community. This event welcomes a donation to veteran-owned organizations. You won’t want to miss this motivational day!
